The once-in-a-lifetime day
And the perfectly ordinary one
Both deserve to be beautiful
In Tokyo, we capture your day in photographs and film
Book a SessionWhy we started Tokyo Family Records
Your phone is full of photos.
But the one frame — the one clip — you come back to again and again? That one is rarely there—
- ― Almost nothing with you and the people who matter, together
- ― No single frame that brings back the light and air of that day
- ― Nothing anywhere of how they moved, or how they sounded
We're a Japanese-Taiwanese couple based in Tokyo. One year, we captured our 85-year-old grandfather's very first trip abroad — in both photographs and film.
We just walked, ate, and laughed together.
Years later, watching that film back, we realized—
some things photographs alone cannot bring back.
The way he walked, his voice, the beat before he laughed.
That's why we started Tokyo Family Records.
Photographs to frame the moment beautifully, film to keep the time itself.
Both, from a single session.
Photographs, and film.
Your day, in its most beautiful form.
Photographs you'll want to frame and hang.
Film that keeps the voices and the air of the day.
Where it helps, we'll guide your position and your eyeline.
No need to brace yourself — choosing the best moment is our job.

Post-wedding shoots
The dress, the city, one more time after the ceremony — in photographs and film
Family trips & anniversaries
Your child's face and voice today will have changed by next year
Three-generation trips
Being able to travel together isn't a given
An ordinary day
The days with nothing planned are the ones you rewatch most
If you're still on the fence
You might think "we'll do it next time."
But you already know—
You don't need to photograph every day.
But if this one
is special to you—
It's worth keeping beautifully.
Keep this day in photographs and film
Recorded Memories
A walk with our child beneath Skytree — keeping every ordinary moment
Tokyo Skytree・2026-05
In a park where Skytree rises overhead, a child slides down the slide through a wisteria-blooming afternoon. Not a tour of famous spots — just an ordinary stretch of time, like a walk around the neighborhood. And yet a child's profile at play, and Skytree glimpsed above, are scenes you'll want to watch again and again. We kept one such moment in this vertical short.
A shitamachi stroll in Kameari — an old town that takes the whole family back to childhood
Kameari・2026-05
Kameari, known as the setting of the manga "Kochikame," is an old town where the Showa-era air still lingers. This vertical short captures an unhurried wander through its shopping street. Nostalgic toys and narrow alleys make grown-ups and kids alike stop in their tracks. Not a famous sightseeing spot — just a place where simply walking takes you back to childhood. We kept that shitamachi air along with them, carefully.
